I have been waiting to make this post for the longest because it has been bugging me. After coming back to college, I have been seeing a lot of people wearing crazy lashes. There is nothing wrong with fake lashes. I wear them myself but there is a thing called “doing too much”. I see girls wearing huge lashes with no makeup and it looks weird. Once again, there is nothing wrong with wearing no makeup but wearing big bold lashes with a bare face just doesn’t look right to me. I like the more natural looking lashes because it looks more appealing.
It has been a long hard year. I have had many ups and downs since I have started blogging but I got better. One of my new year resolutions is to get better at my work so I can keep growing. 2019 is gonna be a crazy and unexpected year for me and I cannot wait. I hope you guys have a good New Years because mine is already ruined. ( lol) My face has become swollen from an allergic reaction to something. Happy New Years!!!!!🍾 🥂
I don’t usually wear blue but it turned out better than I thought.
- Eyeshadow- Morphe 35B Palette + Bh Cosmetics Take Me Back To Brazil Palette
- Eyebrows- Bh Cosmetics Ultimate Brow Palette
This was a fun look to do because I don’t usually create green looks but this turned out amazing. I used some really good products plus my new Morphe palette. So here is what you need to do…
Step 1: Prepare your eyebrow
I like to start with my eyebrow because it is easier and if you mess up, you don’t have to fix anything else. Trust me, eyebrows are the easiest when started first.
Step 2: Prepare your base
The base is your eye primer or concealer. I use concealer because I can get a brighter color with it than a primer. After the base, add your powder or bronzer to set your eye. I sometimes use bronzer because it works so good.
Step 3: Blend
With a blending brush and the color you picked, start blending on the crease of your eye. Blend with light strokes so it doesn’t get too dark. Do not go up to the eyebrow with the eyeshadow. When you blend, you can feel where your eyeball is and that is how far you will go.
Step 4: Create your cut crease
The cut crease is really easy to create. You want to get a thin brush and add some concealer on it. Carefully line the concealer higher of your eyelid. A cut crease can be any size you like so feel free to go higher or lower with your crease. High cut crease are perfect for people who have small eyes and eyelids. After you draw your cut crease with the concealer, fill in with conceler. A cut crease can look any type of way so you can be creative with it. You can do a full or a half cut crease.
Step 5: Add the eyeshadow to the cut crease
Add your color to the cut crease to bring out your eye. I like to add bright or sparkly colors to my cut creases to bring out my look.
Step 6: Finish your look
The last thing to do is to finish your look. Add your eyeliner, lashes, foundation, and concealer. That is how you accomplish a cut crease look. These are the steps I used to create the look above. I hope you guys enjoy it!
Starting a blog can be so fun. There is so much to do and to write about. I started a beauty blog so that I can show off my makeup and tell how I completed the look. Here are some quick and easy steps to get you started…
Step 1- Pick A Platform
You wanna first pick a good platform to blog on. I would definitely recommend WordPress because there is so much to do. You can pick many themes that works for every style.
Step 2- Pick A Domain
Picking a domain is so important because you want people to know who you are. This is how they find you and spread the word. Thankfully, if you purchase a plan with WordPress, you get a domain with the plan. You don’t have to buy a domain so fast. I recommend not buying one until you know that you are serious because you could definitely waste money. Pick a cute, cool , unique different type of name. Pick something that stands out.
Step 3- Setting Up Your Site
First thing to remember is that this is your site, so you can customize it however you likes. I like the more basic look just because it looks really clean. I also love bright colors but after changing my site so many times, I finally settled with a perfect theme. The light pink’s are really good as well for a beauty blog.
Step 4- Brainstorming
Before blogging, you want to brainstorm a couple of ideas to write about. Try to think of three post to write about every day. There are a lot of different post to blog about such as how to’s, most vs least expensive, Where to buy your makeup and so much more.
Step 5- Social Media
Thanks to WordPress, you can combine a lot of other platforms on this one. If you have any other social media, it is best to put it all on your blog so you can attract more traffic. If you post on WordPress, it automatically post to your social media.
The fun thing about having a beauty blog is that you can show true creativity and ideas. You just have to stick to it and never give up. Remember to have fun!
I have a really good post for you guys today. I know that it can be stressful blogging and then having to keep reading to make sure that everything is perfect. Here is a nice tip for you guys…
Get Grammarly! I love Grammarly so much because it fixes everything. I had Grammarly on my computer for over two years now and it is amazing. If you are the type of person that is always in a rush when doing your makeup then this post is right for you. When I am trying to make it to class but I wanna do my makeup, I throw on one eyeshadow color and eyeliner. It’s not a crazy color but a neutral color. I wear a light brown to dark orange color because it goes with everything. You blend the color on your eye so that it’s not just sitting there and you can go. The last thing to do is add you mascara and or some eyeliner.
Wow! I started blogging January 3,2018. I still think it’s crazy that I stuck with this because I am so quick to give up. The exact days are, 334 days. That is a lot. I only have about 220 something post because most of it was me thinking of what to do, being sick and so much more. I am really proud of myself. I felt kind of slow because I thought since today was the third and I started blogging on January the third, that it was a full year. That just means that I will have to make another post next month which will be a full year for me.
Hi guys! I get a lot of questions about starting to blog and how to set up a blog and so on. So lets start talking!
How To Blog
-You should first think about what you want to blog about. It can be really hard to think of topics to write about. I have writers block every time I blog. Everyone has something to blog about or you wouldn’t have wanted to start blogging. It is about writing about what you feel or what you like.
Picking A Theme
-I have had many questions about what theme I have used and so on. The theme that I am currently using is called “Heart And Style”. I love this theme because it gives me a more professional looking site. There are a lot of free themes and there a many that you can purchase. You can also get them free if you buy a plan which is what I did. Choosing themes can be tricky because you want your blog to be perfect. You may have to play around for a while to get the one that make you go “Now that’s it!”. It takes time to get your blog ready. It took me about one to two weeks to pick a theme because I kept changing.
Just do what feels good to you. I use to look up questions about how to start blogging and what to do for so long that I just stopped. There are so many ways to blog. Everyone has a different way of blogging. You just have to find what fits for you and start writing.
The first thing that comes to your mind might be primer, right. No! Primer is good for eyeshadow but I only use concealer because it really makes the color brighter. I use concealer then set it with a powder. It does not matter what powder you use. Just set your eye. You do not want a wet base.
Next, you want to really dig into that eyeshadow. (lol) When I use the bright pink colors, I dig so I have a lot of powder on my brush and it always comes out super bright. (dig, dig, dig)
Lastly, do not swipe the color on your eye. If you are looking to get a bright color then you have to pat the color on your eye. Trust me, there is a huge difference between the two.
