Love The Skin You Are In

Body positivity is so important to everyone. It took me a while and I still deal with it as for everyone else. We all at some point probably hate how we look and feel to others. For me, being over weight really took a toll on me in high school and it still do. I always hated that I was over weight. I would try dieting but it just did not work out for me. I still have those days but I manage when I write about. You have to learn to love yourself because you are the only one that matters right now. Other than family, you need to worry about yourself. Being in college, you would think that you left all the negative impact of what others say about you in high School but no! I found out that it carries on and will continue to carry on until you stop letting people get to. They don’t matter!

What Is The Purpose Of Contouring?

Contouring is such a big deal in makeup because it brings out your features. Plus you can make new ones. (lol) When you see people contouring their jaws and noses, it brings that specific feature out more. I love contouring. Many people do the full contour which is under the eyes, nose, cheek bones, neck and so on. That is too much for me, just because I am in college and I don’t need all of that unless its a weekend. I don’t do the neck contour though. I haven’t tried it yet because I feel like its too much and I get hot really fast. Just remember that after you contour, you have to bake. You do not to walk around with a melting face. 🙂

*Eyebrow Alert*!!

I had to post this because I have been seeing this problem for so long. Being in college, you see it all. From really thick brows to no brows. From over drawn eyebrows to not drawn enough. Trends nowadays are making everyone wanna hop along for the ride and sometimes its fun but most times it just gets annoying. Eyebrows will forever be a trend because they are always changing. With that being said, I am about to about dark brows.

First thing is first, your brows should never be darker than your natural hair color. If you are a blonde or like a red head then you don’t have to read this. (lol) I am not judging anyone when I say this but super dark eyebrows looks really weird if your hair is not that color. When I was getting into makeup and didn’t really know what to do, I use to fill my eyebrows with a black pencil. I had red hair at the time so that was a definitely no!

I feel like I am pretty basic so I go for the light brown to dark brown eyebrows. The color fits my face and If I go darker, it just starts to look weird.

Two Toned Skin

Having two toned skin is really hard for some people to find their right skin color in makeup. I have two tone skin on my arms and chest area. There is a light skin and medium brown on my arms and chest area. I use to cover it up but now i just don’t worry about it. I use to hate wearing tank tops because it is so clear about how my skin looks and I would just use foundation to cover it up. I would literally use foundation, powder then set it. (Hahaha) Now, I just tell myself that it’s ok and not to worry about it because everyone is not perfect. We all have flaws!

How To Avoid Haters

First thing to know is that you will always have haters. For some weird reason, they are everywhere. I never really understood how people can be so negative all the time but it happens. I have haters but I don’t act. You have to ignore them and keep doing what you are doing because they are always watching you. I think it’s creepy how someone can always look at you and then judge you. Like “boo”! They are curious about what you are doing and they want to ruin things for you by getting into your head. You just have to tune them out and keep being positive. Every time you move up, they are moving down.

The Real Me

I don’t think you guys have really seen me, other than in my contact picture or my makeup pics. I just do parts of my face so that is all I show. I wanted to share this picture because we all have flaws. No one is perfect. I had a really good day today and wanted to wear a bright shirt with a neutral face and killer brows!

“Just ignore the bowl to the left” (LOL)

Be Extra, Be Yourself

The best part of anything is being yourself! You can be extra, petty, weird or anything else you want. I am literally a mixture of all those combined. It’s fun to be yourself, but it’s not easy. We get so caught up on what other people think that it’s hard to be yourself. You should worry about what others think because you are going to get judged no matter what. So what’s the point of caring?
